A-League fixtures released

Perth Glory will start the 2020-21 A-League season with consecutive home matches against Adelaide United and Brisbane Roar in January, as Football Federation Australia confirmed the season fixtures on Tuesday.

Perth's hard border stance will mean their season starts more than two weeks later than other teams, forced to observe two weeks quarantine upon their return to the country from time in Qatar for the Asian Champions League.

Their first match is against Adelaide at HBF Park on Saturday January 16th, kick-off at 6:20 PM AWST before backing up four days later against the Roar at the same venue.

All matches in the summer months will be played at night, to negate the Perth heat for spectators and fans alike.

Richard Garciá's men then head to New South Wales to play three consecutive away games in the space of eight days against Western Sydney Wanderers, Wellington Phoenix (who will be based in NSW) and Newcastle Jets.

February, meanwhile, will see Glory play three times at home, with two of those fixtures against league new boys Macarthur Bulls FC and the other a clash with Melbourne Victory.

Away meetings with Wellington and Brisbane Roar get the month of March underway, before Glory settle into a more conventional home-away, home-away pattern for the next six rounds.

The season commences on December 27th, with the A-League and W-League seasons starting on the same day for the first time.
