AFL announces round one fixture

The Eagles will start their 2022 campaign against the Gold Coast Suns at home at Optus Stadium.

West Coast's season opener will be played in the 4:40pm time slot on Sunday afternoon and it will be played following the Dockers clash against the Crows that will be played at the Adelaide Oval.

In a reward for Victorian fans every Melbourne based team will take on each other highlighted by the first match of the year a grand final replay on a Wednesday night between the Demons and Dogs.
