AFL brings 2022 fixture to life

The Eagles and Dockers will meet in the first Western Derby of the season in round three at Optus Stadium.

Both sides will meet again in the penultimate round of the year in the hope the sides are live chances of making finals.

Fremantle will return to the Friday night stage in round eight when they take on the Kangaroos.

The match will be part of an AFL trial where they will play back to back games in the marquee time slot.

Three rounds in the first eight weeks will see double headers including on Good Friday when West Coast host Sydney.

The Dockers have also been blessed with a big opportunity to establish their top-eight push in the opening ten rounds, facing only three 2021 finalists and the bottom four finishing sides.
