AFL Women's round three fixture revealed

Fremantle will head to Adelaide for a blockbuster Sunday afternoon contest as part of round three of the 2021 AFL Women's competition, revealed by the league on Monday.

The Dockers face the Crows at Norwood Oval on Sunday, seen as two of the genuine premiership contenders come the business end of the season with both teams currently undefeated after two rounds.

West Coast head to Melbourne to meet Richmond at the Swinburne Centre, both sides looking for a breakthrough win with the Tigers yet to record a victory in their AFLW history and the Eagles having only one win in season 2020.

Other high profile matches in the round schedule include Brisbane and Collingwood at Hickey Park in the sunshine state, the Western Bulldogs to play Geelong on Friday night, North Melbourne to meet Melbourne at Casey Fields.

GWS and Gold Coast will be hoping for their first wins of the season when they meet at Blacktown, while Carlton will be aiming to break its duck against St Kilda.

"These continue to be unprecedented times and the fixture this year will continue to respond to and reflect the situation across the country," AFL head of women's footy Nicole Livingstone said.

"We will continue to remain adaptable as we listen to and work closely with each stakeholder to ensure the best possible outcome for everyone in the game.

"While COVID-19 continues to impact the community, the health and welfare of our players and the community remains the priority and we remain committed to delivering a full season in a safe manner anchored in the advice of respective governments, public health officials and medical experts."

Further rounds will be released in the coming weeks in accordance with state border restrictions.
