Aussies look towards unchanged XI
Australia are set to name an unchanged XI for the third Test against New Zealand at the SCG.
Captain Tim Paine said it was likely but will take one more look at the wicket on the morning of the game before a final decision is made.
“It’d be likely we’ll go unchanged but it’s still as possibility when we see that wicket tomorrow morning that we’d go for another spinner. Paine said.
Queenslander Mitchell Swepson has been included in the squad for the final Test match of the summer.
“We’ve got some guys in and around our squad who provide quite a bit of flexibility.”
Meanwhile, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson and batsman Henry Nicholls have been hit by illness.
Batsman Glenn Phillips has been flown to Sydney as cover incase a change needs to be made.
