Aussies through to 2nd round

Australians John Millman and Jordan Thompson have made their way through to the second round of the 2020 Australian Open, with wins over Ugo Humbert and Alexander Bublik respectively on Tuesday.
Millman overcame Frenchman Humbert in four sets, 7-6 (7-3) 6-3 1-6 7-5, recovering from a poor third set to regain the ascendency in the fourth.
He will play Poland's Hubert Hurkacz in the second round.
Thompson was a straight sets winner over Russian Bublik, overcoming an early break of serve and trailing 3-0 in the first set to win 6-4, 6-3 6-2 on court 3.
In other results so far on day 2 little known Australian player Marc Polmans won a five set epic against another Russian Mikhail Kukhuskin 6-4, 6-3, 4-6, 6-7 (8-10) 6-4, while Rafael Nadal moved seamlessly in to the second round by defeating Bolivian Hugo Dellien 6-2, 6-3, 6-0.
Australian's Max Purcell, John-Patrick Smith, Andrew Harris have already exited their home Grand Slam, with Nick Kyrgios to open his tournament tonight with a match against Italian Lorenzo Sonego.
Compatriots Alexi Popryin, Chris O'Connell and Alex Bolt are also due on court later today.
