Aussies triumph in Melbourne
Australia have claimed the Trans-Tasman trophy cruising to a 247-run win in the second Test at the MCG.
The home side set New Zealand a target of 488 to win after declaring at 5-168 in the early part of the fourth day.
Nathan Lyon claimed four wickets and hometown boy James Pattinson collected three as the game wrapped up some 15-minutes before stumps.
Tom Blundell provided the only highlight for the visitors striking 121 and in the process becoming the leading run-scorer for the Kiwis in the series.
Travis Head was named player of the match for his first innings century.
