Brave Glory knock over Sydney FC

Perth Glory against the odds have stunned Sydney FC to cause an upset 2-1 victory.

An unknown future faces the Glory after the WA government border backflip but the team put that all to one side to lift themselves off the bottom place on the A-League table.

Brandon O'Neill was first to find the back of the net right on the 55 minute mark.

With just five minutes left in the game the Glory looked like they had done enough and squeezed out another through Bruno Fornaroli.

Sydney found a consolation goal in the 93rd minute but it was all too late.

Star import Daniel Sturridge is set to be monitored after looking to sustain a hamstring strain. Coach Richard Garcia quickly moving to potential ease fans nerves describing it as "tight".

“It’s been a very tough few months. The unknown is always very difficult to deal with,” Garcia said

“They were outstanding tonight.

“The way they have bounced back from the setbacks is very pleasing."

Perth are back in action on Wednesday when they take on MacArthur FC.
