Brimmer departs Glory

The Perth Glory squad for the 2020-21 A-League season has taken another hit, with midfielder Jake Brimmer departing the club by mutual consent on Tuesday.

The Melbourne born Brimmer has departed the club after 60 matches over three seasons having debuted in 2017, having played 21 games in the club's premiers plate winning season of 2018-19.

The 22 year old sighted family reasons behind his exit, thanking the club upon confirmation of his departure.

"I’d like to thank everyone at the club, the staff, the players and the Members and fans for the last three years," he said.

"It’s been an important and great period in my career and I will really miss the club.

"I’d also like to particularly thank Glory for their consideration of my personal circumstances at this time."

The news now leaves Perth with just 12 players on their roster, with new signings Andrew Nabbout and Nathaniel Atkinson having their contracts terminated by mutual consent after failing to get approval to travel to Western Australia, while defender Tomi Mrcela returned to Croatia.
