CEO denies Sturridge chose not to play

Perth Glory CEO Tony Pignata has moved quickly to dismiss talk star recruit Daniel Sturridge refused to play due to not being use to four hour flights.


Glory owner Tony Sage claimed Sturridge had ruled himself out of the match after pulling up crampy from the flight to Melbourne.


Pignata on Twitter posted the following comments:

Sturridge also took to Twitter to say it was going to need to be a patient build up whilst he builds match fitness.


Perth next take to the park against Melbourne Victory on Friday night.
