Dockers storm into AFLW preliminary final

The Dockers have burst into the AFLW preliminary final after a 38-point win over North Melbourne.

Fremantle recorded a 11.3.69 to 4.7.31 victory to now setup a date with Adelaide with the winner to progress through to grand final.

Kiara Bowers and Hayley Miller collected 21-disposals each while the side spread the goal kicking around with 10 individual scorers led by two from Mikayla Hyde.

Dockers coach Trent Cooper post-game said he was very happy.

"We had a tough run for a few weeks, but we felt we were really building and training has been really solid this week. Coming back to Victoria was great, we're five from five this year. We made sure we kept our structure today, and I'm really proud of how the forwards managed to do that."

The qualifying final between Brisbane and Collingwood was not played after the Pies camp was ravaged with COVID. The AFL is expected to announced whether the match will be played or not on Monday.
