Brad Sheppard has announced that he will not play on into season 2022.
The defender after seeking medical advice following a number of concussions decided it was time to focus on the next phase of his life.
The 30-year-old was twice concussed in matches in the second half of the year – against Carlton at the SCG and Fremantle at Optus Stadium – and unfortunately has endured ongoing issues.
Sheppard played 216 games, collected All-Australian honours and also claimed the Chris Mainwaring Medal as best clubman in 2020.
