Eagles injury extent revealed
Eagles midfielder Elliott Yeo is set to miss up to three weeks of football with a groin injury.
Yeo is a long list of West Coast players who have succumbed in recent weeks and will spend some on the sidelines.
General Manager - Football Craig Vozzo confirmed the news on Tuesday afternoon.
“We missed Elliot on the weekend obviously, great player for us. He’s got an OP-type (osteitis pubis) issue in the groin area, so it’s one of those ones that is hard to predict, but it can turn really quickly from a positive point-of-view,” Vozzo said.
“He has shown some really good signs of improvement, which is great early in this process, but we’ve got some time to assess it and it’s probably two-to-three weeks at this stage but very hopeful as we progress.”
Jack Redden will miss another week with an adductor strain while Nathan Vardy will miss more than a month after developing compartment syndrome following a cork in the scrimmage against the Hawks on the weekend.
Liam Duggan and Mark Readings will need to complete training this week but should return for Sundays clash with the Giants.
