Eagles injury list concerns deepen
The Eagles injury list has worsened with midfielder Jack Redden ruled out for the rest of the season requiring thumb surgery.
Redden sustained the fractured thumb during the two-point loss to the Western Bulldogs on Sunday night.
Mark Hutchings suffered a hamstring strain and looks set to miss the time remaining in the regular season.
Elliott Yeo and Luke Shuey are not expected to return for Thursday night's clash against St Kilda.
In more positive news, defender Jeremy McGovern had scans on his thumb and is expected to line up against the Saints.
Eagles coach Adam Simpson also guaranteed the return of Nic Naitanui.
“We’ll get Nic (Naitanui) back this week. Playing him for all five games in 19 days or whatever it is, that would’ve been crazy. He pulled up a little bit tight from the previous game but he’ll be right for the Saints." Simpson told
Fox Footy.
