Eagles lose another trio to injury

Eagles premiership hero Dom Sheed is set to miss up to four months with syndesmosis in his ankle.

Sheed was hurt in a tackle during Friday's clash with the Dockers and will undergo surgery.

In brighter news, Elliot Yeo is expected to be available in the early rounds of the season after straining a calf.

First-round draft pick Campbell Chesser will also be on the sidelines for an extended period of time after damaging his ankle.

“There’s nobody to blame but we’ve had a bad run of luck on the injury front and unfortunately Elliot, Dom and Campbell all sustained injuries early in the practice game,” Football Manager Gavin Bell said.
