The Eagles are on the board in their inaugural season in the AFLW securing a four-point win over the Western Bulldogs.

West Coast booted three goals to one in the second half to prove they can compete over four quarters in the 4.6.30 to 3.8.26 triumph.

Skipper Emma Swanson was brilliant collecting 22 disposals, Dana Hooker also had it 19 times.

Eagles coach Luke Dwyer really proud of his playing group post-match.

"I think in terms of reward for effort for the players along with the staff and obviously the coaching group. Dwyer said.

"I'm really proud of the way the girls fought it out and full credit to Western Bulldogs. I'm immensely proud of everyone who has been involved with the squad and the playing group today were huge."

The Eagles face the Dees next Sunday in Melbourne.
