Evergreen Clarke salutes at Siena's again with dominant ruck display

Zac Clarke's stunning return to WAFL ranks has continued, again adjudged Siena's Player of the Day in Subiaco's 55 point win over West Perth on Saturday.

Having won the award in the corresponding match in round four, Clarke again dominated the aerial battle for the Lions against the West Perth duo of Riley Sprigg and Noah Pegoraro, accumulating 23 disposals to go with 12 marks and 45 hitouts in a comprehensive performance from the 33-year-old.

"It was nice to give our midfielders first use," Clarke told Sport FM post-game.

"I'm feeling pretty good at the moment, hopefully we can continue this good run of form through the real grind of the season."

Clarke, who played 110 games of AFL across Fremantle and Essendon has returned to the WAFL this season, his most recent campaign with the club their unbeaten premiership year of 2018.

Clarke won a $100 voucher to spend at station sponsor Siena's in Leederville, awarded to the player adjudged best afield by the 91.3 Sport FM commentary team each round of the 2023 WAFL season.
