Fever confirm squad changes

The West Coast Fever has confirmed the departures of Shannon Eagland and Ingrid Colyer, just days after their heartbreaking Grand Final loss to the Melbourne Vixens.

The pair weren't offered contracts for the 2021 season, Colyer having suffered a serious knee injury as part of the most recent campaign, set to miss 12 months.

Under competition rules, a Club is unable to contract an injured player.

The Club has committed to working with the midcourter to rehabilitate her knee so that she can return to Suncorp Super Netball playing standard.

Eagland has been an integral member of the Club since joining in 2017 and played important roles in Fever’s Grand Final appearances in both 2018 and 2020.

Meanwhile, the club has extended the contracts of international defender Stacey Francis, goal attack Alice Teague-Neeld and defender Olivia Lewis until the end of the 2021 Suncorp Super Netball season.

Francis, Teague-Neeld and Lewis join 2021 signed players Captain Courtney Bruce, Jhaniele Fowler, Verity Charles and Jess Anstiss.
