Fever hits Vixens as Fowler shoots lights out

The West Coast Fever are the first team into the Suncorp Super Netball grand final after defeating the tournament favourites the Melbourne Vixens 71-62.

Powerhouse goal shooter Jhaniele Fowler led from the front breaking the record for the most goals in a final with 67 at 97 per cent.

Skipper Courtney Bruce was the player of the match with six gains and six deflections denying the Vixens the easier path to the grand final.

Perth had already been announced to host the final on July 3 after the WA Government did a deal with Netball Australia to host the season ending decider.

Vixens will now host the preliminary final, with their opponent to be the winner of the minor semi-final between Giants and Collingwood on Sunday.
