Fever keep finals aspirations alive

West Coast Fever are back into the top four after swooping on the Magpies to claim a 71-57 victory.

Jhaniele Fowler was again the best in front of the net scoring 62 of the 71-points.

Skipper Courtney Bruce was inspirational at the other end leading the way with eight deflections, six intercepts and three rebounds.

Coach Stacey Marinkovich proud of her sides performance across the four quarters.

“There was some real courage and some real intent from the very first whistle to the very last and I think that makes all the difference and it was a much better performance.” Marinkovich said.

Marinkovich was also quick to praise the efforts of her captain.

“Courtney is always used to playing against the big’s and tall’s and she trains against Jhaniele every day, so she’s really ready and for us it’s the work what she does out the front that gives us the greatest opportunity out the back”.

Fever take back to the court on Sunday when they face the Sunshine Coast Lightning.
