Fever outdone by top of the table Vixens

A slow start has cost the West Coast Fever falling 68-59 to the top of the table Melbourne Vixens.

Defender Stacey Francis believed they were always chasing the game from that point on.

“We were disappointed with the work we put out there, the first four rounds we’ve been going into halftime in a really strong position and we weren’t today,” Francis said.

The Fever will still be trying to find ways to become less one dimensional despite goal shooter Jhaniele Fowler scoring 47 goals at 98 per cent.

Kaylia Stanton and Alice Teague-Neeld have failed to make a prolonged impact in the goal attack position.

Fever sit in fourth position on the Suncorp Super Netball ladder and face the Queensland Firebirds next on Saturday.
