Five-way tie after opening round of the WA Open

Seventeen year-old schoolboy Jeffrey Guan is the shared leader after the opening round of the WA Open.

Being held at the Royal Fremantle Golf Course the rising star shot six-under 66 putting together seven birdies but bogeyed on the 14th hole to give up outright lead.

Guan has a five-way share of the lead alongside Dimi Papadatos, Nathan Barbieri, Austin Bautista and WA's Braden Becker.

It's the first time in two years due to the COVID pandemic that the WA Open has been held.
