Franklin reaches magical milestone
Lance Franklin has booted his 1000th goal on the way to Sydney's 30-point win over Geelong at the SCG.
Franklin is just the sixth player in AFL/VFL history to achieve the milestone when he slotted his fourth goal in the final quarter.
The 35-year-old converted the set shot from 40 metres out after being delivered the ball from midfielder Chad Warner.
Thousands of fans ran onto the ground and the game was delayed for 30-minutes whilst the crowd was cleared from the playing arena.
The Swans now have a 2-0 start to the season following the 17.5.107 to 10.17.77 victory.
Sydney face the Western Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium next week.
