Lance "Buddy" Franklin will go around again in 2023 after signing a one-year contract extension with the Sydney Swans.
There had been speculation that Franklin would hang up the boots at the conclusion of the current season.
Franklin's incredible nine-year deal will come to an end after Saturday's grand final against Geelong at the MCG.
The 35-year-old has played 340 games and kicked 1,047 goals and will this weekend play in his sixth grand final however he is yet to win one at the Swans, failing twice.
In other news out of the harbour city, GWS Giants announced that co-captain will play on like Franklin for another season.
