Fyfe down and Dockers out
Dockers skipper Nat Fyfe has suffered a hamstring injury in Fremantle's 13-point loss to the Gold Coast Suns.
Scores were level at three-quarter-time before the Suns broke free kicking the only two goals in the last quarter to seal the 10.4.64 to 8.3.51 triumph.
Coach Justin Longmuir post-match was hopeful that Fyfe has suffered just a low grade strain.
"He (Fyfe) felt some tightness in his hamstring. Hopefully it’s a low grade strain. He’ll get scans tomorrow." Longmuir said.
"The doctors believe it’s minor so hopefully it’s a good scan."
Michael Walters and Brett Bewley kicked two goals each while Darcy Tucker collected 20-disposals in one of his better game for Fremantle.
Longmuir left to lament errors at crucial times.
"The centre bounces are an issue for us, it has been all season. Our ball movement out of D50 has improved but we’re not a team that can bounce out of defence, we need to improve that."
"We worked hard to get two goals up and then coughed up four goals without touching the footy once. We need to get those inconsistencies out of our game."
"The results will look after themselves if we keep improving. I think we took a step forward this week but those lapses cost us easy goals."
Next week the winless Fremantle face Adelaide at Metricon Stadium.
