Glory clash with Roar cancelled

Perth Glory have been rocked by a COVID-19 scare after a playing squad member tested positive.


The squad who are currently in Brisbane after arriving from Adelaide earlier in the week are working with Queensland Health authorities and Australian Professional Leagues.


In a statement the Perth Glory that all members of their A-League department were in isolation.


"The case involves a double-vaccinated person who tested positive to a regular rapid antigen test and PCR test on 15 December.


No other members of the club’s playing, coaching, medical and operational staff have presented symptoms, but all have undergone PCR testing and are isolating as per the Health directive."


The fixtures between Perth and Brisbane due for this Saturday and Perth and Adelaide on Thursday 23rd December have been postponed until the new year.


Perth have not named the player who has tested positive.
