Glory coach critical of current position

Perth Glory are set to spend Christmas in quarantine in a Brisbane hotel after being deemed close contacts of a playing squad member who tested positive.

Winger Pacifique Niyongabire tested COVID positive after the team travelled from Adelaide to Queensland earlier in the week.

Coach Richard Garcia believes his side "should've never been put in the situation to start with."

Speaking on ABC Radio Garcia said "there's a lot of people in this hotel that are disillusioned not only with the league but with their lives at the moment because of everything we've had to endure this season."

The Glory had been fixtured to play nine-games away in a row.

Perth have had their remaining two matches of 2021 postponed until January.
