Glory salvage draw against Central Coast

Perth Glory have taken away a crucial point from their 1-1 draw against Central Coast Mariners.

Daniel Stynes was the saviour for Perth finding the back of the net in the dying stages of second half injury time.

The result still leaves the Glory on the bottom of the ladder but with a number of games up their sleeve.

Coach Richard Garcia said post-match that he thought the team was dead of their feet.

“A lot of guys felt pretty tired after 30-35 minutes but they had the grit to stick it out. There were some amazing gritty performances."

“It was a real gutsy performance, first-half they played very well. You could tell that second-half we lost our wind.

“We were a severely undercooked team but their desire and effort to stick together and get a result was fantastic.”

Perth are scheduled to play Brisbane Roar next weekend with a date and time to be determined.
