Horn triumphs in brutal battle

Jeff Horn has scored a majority points decision victory over Michael Zerafa to breath new life into his boxing career.

It's a redemption win for Horn who was soundly beaten by Zerafa the first time around.

The tide turned in the ninth round when a bloodied Horn landed a brutal body shot that sent Zerafa to the mat and set the bout up for a thrilling final round.

Horn needed to survive just three-minutes in the last which he did to save his career.

The judges scored the right 97-92, 98-90 and one judge couldn't seperate the pair 94-94.

Post fight Horn said "I made a comeback, the Hornet's back."

Zerafa believed there was more work to do saying "there's no excuse, that is boxing. I got to cop it, go back and train hard. It just wasn't my night tonight, I ref I believed robbed me."

The victory hands the WBA Oceania and WBA Oriental middleweight to Horn.
