Hub issues not an excuse: Simpson

Eagles coach Adam Simpson has moved to refute his sides woes have nothing to do with the public airing of their Gold Coast hub issues.

West Coast are 16th on the AFL ladder and have not won a game since the restart three weeks ago.

“We live this every day and we prepare as professionals,” Simpson said on 7NEWS.

“Not for one minute has any player presented that as an excuse, so that’s completely separate.”

“(We’re) doing everything we can to get it right, we’ll look at selection, we’ll look at our training, we’ll look at the way we play and keep working hard.”

West Coast will now play Sydney on Saturday at Metricon Stadium after Richmond were denied entry into the state due to a spike in Victoria's COVID -19 cases.
