Jackson officially requests a trade back to Perth
Luke Jackson has officially requested a trade back to Western Australia.
Jackson informed the Demons on Tuesday of his decision and the club will now work with West Coast and Fremantle to secure a suitable trade.
The 20-year-old is not expected to nominate a desire to join either WA club despite wide reports that Fremantle was the preferred destination and certain to field offers from both clubs.

West Coast carry pick two in the draft this season but would need permission from the AFL to trade their first pick away as they have previously traded early picks to secure the services of the likes of Tim Kelly.
Meanwhile, the Dockers earliest pick will be pick 13 and any deal for an eastern states club is likely to involved Rory Lobb who is eager to move back to the east coast.
