Julian Wants Indian Test In Perth

Former Australian fast bowler Brendon Julian says he'd love to see Perth get a Test match next time India tour the country.

"I'm hoping Perth gets it. I think the Perth Test [against New Zealand] was fantastic," he said, speaking on Sports Breakfast. "I loved the way it offered something for both the batsman and the bowlers - I thought it was a really competitive game."

As it stands, the Tests will be played at the Adelaide Oval, the SCG and the MCG, with the Gabba and Perth Stadium vying for the final spot in the four match series.

"Yes Aussies play well at the Gabba, but sometimes it can be a bit flat," said the former paceman. "I'm hoping Perth will do it, but they probably need to get the crowd numbers up if they want to secure it."

Part of the Fox Cricket team, Julian also gave his tip for who would claim the honours in this seasons Big Bash competition.

"It's gotta be the Melbourne Stars. They don't lose Maxwell, they don't lose Stoinis. They've got a side that doesn't change that much. I think the Strikers are pretty good, the Heat are coming into a bit of form, the Scorchers are up there - but the thing about the Big Bash is you just need to get into the top five, get a bit of momentum and you can go all the way to the final and win it."

Australia's next ODI against India is on Friday in Rajkot at 4pm.
