Kennedy racks up 700 for the Eagles

Eagles spearhead forward Josh Kennedy has notched up another milestone booting his 700th goal for the club.

The 34-year-old kicked his 700th AFL goal earlier in the season against Richmond having scored 11 goals for Blues before his trade to the west.

Kennedy found the middle during the first quarter to score number 699 and most thought he had the magical 700 during the first half only denied by a score review that revealed the ball had been touched.

During the third quarter a Jamaine Jones pass landed on the chest of Kennedy 35 metres out form goal and he did not miss.

West Coast weren't able to get past Carlton on Sunday, scoreless during the first and last quarters the Blues piling on five in the first and seven in the last.

The Blues complied 70 inside 50s to the Eagles 34 in one of the more disappointing result's from the home side this season.

Carlton romped away with a 17.14.116 to 8.5.53 victory.
