Keogh announces retirement

Perth Glory's all time appearances holder Andy Keogh has announced he will retire at the end of the season.

The 35-year-old arrived at the club in 2014 and has made 155 appearances scoring 59 goals.

Keogh said that his body has told him that the time had come.

“Football has been my life ever since I was a child and without the help and support of my mum, dad and brother, I would not have been able to achieve what I did in my career.

“People say you have to sacrifice a lot in football, but I don’t believe that.

“It’s the best job in the world.

“My focus now will be on helping this great club achieve sustained success as I transition into a new role within it."

Keogh also spent time at Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English Premier League.
