Keogh to return to Glory

Perth Glory's all time A-League leading goal scorer Andy Keogh is set to return to the club for season 2020/21.

Also re-joining the Glory is defender Brandon Wilson, who will return to his native state after spending the second half of last season with Wellington Phoenix.

Keogh's return marks his third stint in purple, having scored 55 goals from his 122 appearances, his last the 2019 A-League Grand Final against Sydney FC before departing to play in the Middle East for side Al-Qadsiah.

The 34 year old Irish born striker will become an Australian citizen next month, meaning he is considered a local player as opposed to being an overseas signing.

"I really want to help the people I care about to move the club forward," Keogh said.

"I’m an experienced player and I’m confident that I can contribute both in terms of helping the team and also assisting the young players that we have with their development.

"This is about helping a club that I care about and I’m looking forward to what I’m sure will be a successful season."

23 year old Wilson was also delighted to be back with the club, having played 45 matches in his first stint with the Glory.

"I always had a great relationship with the Glory Members and fans,” he said, "so I’m really looking forward to getting out there and representing them once again.

"I grew up watching the team play from The Shed and always wanted to be a Perth Glory player, so it’s fantastic to have that opportunity to play for my home club again and I can’t wait for the season to begin."
