Kyrgios tests positive for COVID

Nick Krygios summer of tennis could be over already after he tested positive to COVID-19 on Monday.

Kyrgios who is asymptomatic withdrew from the Sydney Tennis Classic just hours before his opening clash.

With just seven days until the Australian Open Kyrgios is in a race against time to be available for the first major of the year.

"I just want to be open and transparent with everyone, the reason I have had to pull out of Sydney is because I tested positive for COVID," Kyrgios said on Instagram.

"I wish everyone all the best and to stay safe where you can. If all goes well I will see you all at the Australian Open."
