Langdon joins Eagles

GWS small forward Zac Langdon has joined West Coast, as part of the first official trade of the 2020 trade period on Wednesday.

The speedster returns to his home state of Western Australia after 31 games in three seasons, having been recruited from Claremont with pick 56 in the 2017 AFL draft.

Langdon hails from Dampier in the state's Pilbara region, the same town as former Eagles ruckman and games record holder Dean Cox.

The Giants will recieve pick 54 in return from the Eagles, with that pick expected to be traded to Fremantle to secure the services of Jesse Hogan, who was confirmed to be joining the expansion club on Monday with the Dockers agreeing to a trade.

Langdon played only seven games in 2020, but will add depth to West Coast's small forward stocks with both Willie Rioli (provisional suspension) and Daniel Venables (concussion) futures in doubt with the club.
