Magnificent Marsh Siena’s Player of the Day

East Fremantle midfielder Harry Marsh showcased his experience and class, winning the Siena’s Player of the Day award against Peel Thunder in Geraldton on Sunday.

The former Sydney Swan and dual premiership player with Subiaco was best afield in the Sharks 19 point win, recording 32 disposals, 7 clearances and an early goal to set the tone for his side.

Marsh returned to his club of origin this season to link up with younger brother Jonathon, having played 25 games with the Swans and 50 with Subiaco.

The pair are maternal grandsons of East Fremantle champion Ray Sorrell, and are looking to emulate their grandfather in winning a premiership in blue and white.

“ One of the main reasons I crossed over was to play with my brother and try and win a premiership together ,” Marsh told Sport FM earlier this year.

“We’ve put a good squad together, now it’s time to go to work.”

The Sharks sit third with five matches remaining, facing South Fremantle after this weekend’s bye.

Each week the 91.3 Sport FM commentary team awards a $100 Siena’s voucher to the player adjudged best afield in the broadcast game, thanks to station sponsor Siena’s restaurant in Leederville.
