Marsh joins Sharks

Dual Subiaco premiership player Harry Marsh will join brother Jonathon at East Fremantle in season 2023, with the Sharks announcing his signing on Monday.

Marsh, who played 25 games of AFL football for Sydney from 2013 to 2018 before returning home to Western Australia to play for the Lions will join the Sharks in 2023, joining younger brother Jonathon at the club.

Marsh played in two premierships for Subiaco in 2019 and 2021, having originally been drafted from East Fremantle’s Colts system in 2012.

The 28 year old utility told the East Fremantle website that the lure of playing alongside his brother was the driving reason behind his move.

“I’ve followed Jono and the Sharks closely and the team is playing an exciting and fast brand of football. I think I’ll add to an already talented group and I’m excited to get to work and get to know the boys after playing against them for a few years”.

The Marsh’s will continue a footballing tradition by wearing the blue and white, with grandfather Ray Sorrell a dual Sandover medalist with the club in the 1960’s.

Marsh is the fifth recruit for East Fremantle this off-season, joining Hugh Dixon, Fraser Turner, Tom Joyce and Josh Cripps at the club after a third placed finish in 2022.
