Marsh leads WA to rebound victory

A masterclass performance from veteran Shaun Marsh has steered WA to a six-wicket victory over South Australia in the Marsh One-Day Cup.

Shaun Marsh (80* off 63) and D’Arcy Short (35* off 27) combined for an unbeaten 93-run stand, guiding the side to victory with eight balls to spare.

Marsh was named Player of the Match, his exceptional knock featuring 11 fours and a six.

WA were originally set a victory target of 199 off 35 overs under the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern system, this was then revised down to 165 off 27 overs.

Earlier in the day, WA speedster Matt Kelly snared 2-37 from his seven overs, dismissing Jake Weatherald and Ryan Gibson in consecutive balls. Liam Guthrie also took two wickets.
