Marsh set to play Big Bash final

Mitch Marsh has been cleared of a major hamstring injury and is expected to line up in the Big Bash final on Friday.

Marsh had scans on Monday morning which revealed he had escaped major injury.

Scorchers coach Adam Voges said he was "confident" that the all-rounder would be right to play.

“There’s a slight nervousness ... they’re going to have to cut it off for him to not play, but even then he’ll probably still get up,” Voges told SEN.

“He’ll play, I’m really confident of that. I think the scans will show whether he’s able to bowl or not.

“Going into a final, if you ask him, he’ll be able to do everything absolutely fine. So we’ll just see how the week pans out.

Perth will play either the Sydney Sixers or the Adelaide Strikers in the final at Marvel Stadium on Friday.
