Peel Thunder have begun the re-signing process securing the signature of captain Ben Hancock for another two seasons.
Hancock tore the tendon in his hamstring in round one and missed the first half of the season but returned to play a crucial role in the second half of the season.
The 26-year-old said it felt great to have locked away the next two years.
“We’re building something really special at Peel, we’ve got a great culture and a great group of players who are great people.
Peel have also re-signed on-baller Tyrone Thorne for season 2023.
