"No decision as of yet": WACA CEO

Perth Stadium is still in the mix to host an India Test match next summer after the WACA confirmed that Cricket Australia had not informed them of any decision.

ESPN Cricinfo has reported on Monday that Brisbane would host the first Test match of next summer edging out Perth.

WACA CEO Christina Matthews confirmed on #SportsLine that CA had sent a document to the state associations that reporting around the issue had "numerous inaccuracies."

Speaking about a timeline Matthews said she was expecting an outcome following the next CA board meeting.

"There've been saying April is when they'll announce it." Matthews said.

"There's a board meeting we think of March the 20th, so we imagine that is when they will make a decision."

"We've got World Cup matches here beginning of Friday so let's see whether we hear any whispers around those games."

Meanwhile, Matthews moved to deny rumours that midweek BBL matches would be moved back to the WACA from next season.

"It's not a discussion point that has any legs."

Perth Stadium is due to host all of the Scorchers home fixtures for the next two seasons.

"That's where it sits at the moment, I'm not saying sometime in the next two years that, that could change but that's our thinking as of today."
