Perth to host World T20 action
Optus Stadium will play host to the opening night of the World T20 competition in October.
England and Afghanistan will clash on Saturday October 22 under lights.
West Aussies will also get to see our national team play when Australia are due to host a qualifier on Tuesday October 25.
There will be two other fixtures at the venue including Pakistan and Group A's first qualifier on Thursday October 27 and then a double header on Sunday October 30 with Pakistan hosting Group A's second qualifier and later India meeting South Africa.
Australia is set to begin their title defence against New Zealand at the SCG on October 22.
They are then scheduled to head to Perth, taking on the top qualifier from Group A on October 25, which is most likely to be Sri Lanka.
The first semi-final is set to be played at the SCG on November 9, before Adelaide Oval hosts the second semi-final 24 hours later.
The final is planned be at the MCG on November 13 from 4pm AWST.
