Round 19 and 20 AFL fixtures confirmed



Fremantle and West Coast's round 19 and 20 matches now have dates and start times, after the AFL confirmed the full schedule for both rounds today.


West Coast will host St Kilda in round 19 on Saturday July 24th at Optus Stadium with bouncedown at 5:40 PM, before making the trip to Melbourne to play lowly placed Collingwood in round 20 at the MCG on Sunday 1st August at 12:10 PM WST.


Fremantle will play Sydney at the neutral venue of GMHBA Stadium due to New South Wales ongoing coronavirus crisis in round 19, the first game of Saturday July 24th with bouncedown at 11:45 AM WST.


Justin Longmuir's men then return home to host Richmond on Sunday August 1st at Optus Stadium from 3:10 PM WST.


The second Grand Final rematch of 2021 between Richmond and Geelong has been bumped from primetime, set to be played on Sunday afternoon at the MCG as part of round 19.


Port Adelaide open the round with a Friday night clash with Collingwood at the Adelaide Oval, Essendon and Greater Western Sydney another important contest apart of the round to be played in the Saturday twilight slot at Marvel Stadium.


The Dons host Sydney on Friday night in round 20 in a big match for both clubs, the Swans looking for a top four spot and the Bombers a return to finals after missing out on September in 2020.


The second Q-Clash of the season will be played at the Gabba on Saturday July 31st from 1:20 PM AWST, current top two sides Melbourne and Western Bulldogs to meet that night at the MCG in what could be a Grand Final preview.


The final month of the home and away season fixtures will be revealed in the coming weeks.
