Ryan Mackenzie becomes West Perth football manager
John Townsend
West Perth have turned to their old enemy to find a new football manager with former East Perth player Ryan Mackenzie replacing Steve Trewhella in the post.
Mackenzie, who was due to coach North Beach next year, will be re-united with senior coach Darren Harris at the Falcons.
The pair were involved at Claremont in 2020 when Harris took the Tigers to a three-point loss in the grand final while Mackenzie coached the reserves team.

Mackenzie, 39, played 47 matches at East Perth earlier this century after moving to Perth from Corowa.
He later played for South Bunbury, winning a Hayward Medal as the best player in the South West Football League, and then joined Wembley in a playing and coaching capacity.
Trewhella left West Perth after their premiership season to join West Coast.
