Saints King over the Dockers

Three second half goals from Max King has lifted the Saints to 10-point win over the Dockers at Optus Stadium.

King booted the sealer with six minutes remaining in the match to confirm the 9.11.65 to 8.7.55 victory.

Andrew Brayshaw was immense for Fremantle collecting 39-disposals and eight tackles, while Rory Lobb and Travis Colyer kicked two goals each.

In more bad news for the Dockers Sean Darcy limped off the ground early in the second half with an ankle injury he was subbed off a short time later. He is expected to get it scanned on Monday to understand the extent of the rolled ankle.

Post-match coach Justin Longmuir said it was one of the more disappointing games he'd been involved in.

"Our execution was horrific, and our skills. We couldn’t do the basics of the game.

"We weren’t able to stop the momentum of stoppages in general. We didn’t get it right and we weren’t able to turn the tide quick enough. We can’t always wait until the quarter breaks for those things to fix."

Next week the Dockers and Eagles will face off in the Western Derby.
