Scorchers chase down Renegades

The Perth Scorchers have bounced back in emphatic fashion recording a six-wicket win over the Melbourne Renegades.


Perth bowled first and took early wickets dismissing skipper Aaron Finch (0), Sam Harper (14) and Shaun Marsh (3) and the Renegades were in trouble at 3/48.


Late order hitting from Beau Webster (59 not out) and Dan Christian (19) rocketed the home side to 5-175.


Jhye Richardson claimed three wickets and Mitch Marsh two.


English import Liam Livingstone (59) and Josh Inglis (51) shared a 102-run opening stand to set Perth on their way in chasing 176.


Skipper Marsh (21), Tim David (16) and Cam Bancroft (24 not out) provided cameos to propel the Scorchers to a 19th over victory.


Perth are back at home on Saturday night hosting the Brisbane Heat.
