Inglis and Hardie show the way for Scorchers

The Perth Scorchers have notched up their fifth run chase win in six outings defeating the Brisbane Heat by eight wickets.


Josh Inglis (67no off 35) and Aaron Hardie (65no off 45) combined for a 132 run partnership to knock over the Heat score of 6-155 in the 17th over.


Perth lost both their openers in the powerplay before the Inglis and Hardie combination came together for the match winning performance.

Player of the match Jason Behrendorff claimed three wickets (3-21 from four) including capturing his 100th BBL wicket only the second player behind AJ Tye to do so.


On BBL return, Test players Usman Khawaja (28 off 23), Marnus Labuschagne (10 off 9) and Matthew Renshaw (27 off 21) all had limited impact for the home side.


The Scorchers return to the top of the table following the victory and next stop is the Sydney Thunder on Friday at the Sydney Showgrounds before heading to the SCG for a match up against the Sydney Sixers.
