Scorchers earn WBBL home final

The Perth Scorchers will host the WBBL season decider at Optus Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Perth powered their way through to the final following an emphatic eight-wicket win over the Sydney Sixers.

Player of the Match Alana King looked dangerous with the ball, taking three wickets, including both Sixers openers in her first over restricting the Sixers to 4/128.

The Scorchers began strongly in the chase, with captain Sophie Devine (18) and Beth Mooney (26) regularly finding the boundary.

The innings however belonged to Chloe Piparo (50*), who was busy at the crease and picked the gaps on her way to a maiden WBBL half century.

Piparo’s 74-run partnership with Graham (34*) was key to the chase, with the pair never looking troubled and smashing a combined 11 boundaries in the process.

Graham struck a boundary to begin the 18th over, giving the Scorchers an eight-wicket win, in a strong performance ahead of The Final.
